Rust protection can be applied after all treatment steps are finalized, before the components are shipped to the customer’s facility.
This can be done either by using oil (for protection for longer storage periods) or by using VCI paper or VCI films.
VCI in combination with suitable packaging provides sufficient temporary corrosion protection for transportation, if further processing is started immediately after receiving at the customer’s facility.
