Pre-cleaning

Substances or liquids from prior process-steps, such as cooling-lubricants, cutting-fluids or rust preventative oils may form a carburizing barrier or may lead to discoloration of the parts.

Therefore, only clean, dry and oil- and grease-free components should be subjected to a vacuum heat treatment.

It is not necessary to wash components prior vacuum heat treatment, if they are received with a light rust preventative. These can be treated without pre-cleaning. An industrial washer of the latest generation is available for the pre-cleaning of your components in our facility.
