First application of vacuum technology at Heraeus as precursor of ALD.

Leybold started manufacturing industrial vacuum equipment.

1950

Degussa also decided to build Vacuum equipment.

1991

Leybold Durferrit GmbH is founded as a merger of the divisions of Heraeus, Leybold and Degussa.

1994

Officially named ALD Vacuum Technologies GmbH.

1999

Together with VACUHEAT the first Heat Treatment Services Center of ALD opened in Germany.

2006

The foundation of ALD Thermal Treatment Inc., USA – the second HTS Center.

2008

ALD Tratamientos S.A. de C.V. established in Mexico.

2021

Opening of Thermal Treatment Suzhou near Shanghai in China
